History[]
Adam used to be a showman running his shows in Hong Kong. He appears a few times throughout the manga. He first appears in chapter 8 - On the Banks of the Donga River. He tricks Lamp into giving him the Moonlight Stone after losing a bet.
Later, he shows up again in chapter 13 - A Man Named Adam Dandy, where he and his henchmen escape on a lifeboat after being exposed by Mr. Pompous (Dr. Mustache) for attempting to kill him and comes across Lune, who came ashore on a log and already met Pete. He finds out that Lune can talk and convinces him to ask a bird to alert a ship to rescue them. Aboard the ship, Adam takes advantage of Lune's interest in civilization and has him sign a life contract so that he can own him and soon begins to physically abuse him to keep him in line.
Soon Adam sets up a great circus with Lune being the star attraction for being a talking animal, and makes his way to New York. Here Adam continues the physical and mental abuse on Lune for refusing to whip other lions and letting them sleep during a performance instead of leading them. In the next chapter Lamp returns to have his revenge on Adam and asks to have Lune in exchange to make amends, but Adam knocks him unconscious before he and his men are distracted by Lune's escape. At night, Lamp sets Adam's circus on fire after managing to free himself and engages a fight with him. Adam and Lamp end up wrestling in a puddle of mud and both are trampled over to death by a horde of panicking elephants.
