Appearance[]
Ants are small insects that are usually black or red.
Characteristics[]
Ants live in colonies that can be up to several million individuals, which include the gigantic queen, the winged males, and the female workers. They make their nests in trees or underground, and have been known to lift objects fifty times their weight. Ants also feed on a wide variety of food, from plants to other animals. They come in a variety of colors, which include black, brown, red, and orange. Some species can be more aggressive than others.

Ants as a species appear numerous times in different adaptations:
Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor)[]
A entire invading army of ants attack the jungle in "The Return of Fancy Prancy", so much that they drive away all the animals of the jungle for a short while.
Leo the Lion (Onward, Leo)[]
While not appearing exactly aside for a brief moment in Leo Becomes a Father, a colony of Fire Ants is what gives Rune (Lune) the inspiration to built The House for the Animals.
The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor 1989)[]
In "Life", Kimba ends up trapped in a pit, and while trying to escape he accidentally disturbs a colony of ants, which cover and attack him. They only stop when he jumps into a salt lake.
Jungle Emperor Leo (1997 film) and Jungle Emperor: The Brave Can Change the Future (2009)[]
In both movies, Leafcutter Ants appear.
