Dinky is a minor character from the 1965 series, Kimba the White Lion. He is a sand cat with blue eyes, a large nose, and long ears. Dinky usually has a relaxed expression on his face.
Appearances[]
He is often with Kimba (Leo) , Dot , and Dash when they are having fun together. He's also one of the students in Bucky's class later on in the series. While Dinky makes cameo appearances in many episodes, sometimes Dinky has a bigger role. In Ep. 37, Legend of Hippo Valley, Dinky starts to get jealous of Kitty wanting to help Kimba with his project, which motivates him, Dot and Dash to help. Dinky also accompanies Kimba, along with Dot and Dash the hot air balloon that they accidentally set loose from the ground in Ep. 42, The Balloon That Blows Up. In Ep. 52, Silvertail, the Renegade, Dinky is playing with Kimba, Dot , Dash , and Dodie near the river and get attacked by bees.
Trivia[]
- In the 1966 film Jungle Emperor, Dinky along with his two buddies, Dash and Dot get eaten up by the Destroyers of the Desert (The Gods of Death).
- Despite being a Sand Cat, Dinky is referred to be a caracal in concept art.
