Giraffes are animals that are seen in the Jungle Emperor Leo Universe

Description[]

Giraffes have usually long legs and a long neck. Female giraffes have hairs on top of their ossicones, males do not. Their coat is covered in irregular star-shaped patches, and are buff-colored below the knee. Their tongues are blue-black.

Information[]

Spectacularly tall, the giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis, Say it: JUHR-AFF-uh KAMM-UHL-AWP-URD-al-USS) has a very long neck with a short, upstanding mane, and high shoulders that slope steeply to the hindquarters. The legs are also long. The giraffe’s neck is made up of the same number of neck bones (vertebrae) as most mammals, including humans, but they are much larger and linked by ball and socket joints for improved flexibility. The specific name of the giraffe comes from the Latin ‘camelopardalis’, meaning ‘camel marked like a leopard’, owing to their buff background with brown blotches, which helps to camouflage them in the dappled light and shade patterns created by the trees they feed on.

In the Universe[]

Giraffes are mostly featured throughout the franchise, as they are a more famous African animal alongside the Elephant and the Lion. They're often shown as residence to the Jungle and, while none had been featured as main characters in the franchise, they have been featured as focuses of numerous episodes. It is also revealed in "The Marked Giraffe", that it's very common in the Jungle Emperor universe for a Giraffe to be born with a mark on their chest, making them naturally hot-tempered and an outcast to their herd.

Characters such as Raff and Geraldine and examples of more prominent Giraffe characters.
