'''''Jungle Emperor: The Brave Can Change the Future '''''is a 107-minute film created to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Tezuka's birth. It was written by Suzuki Osamu, directed by Taniguchi Goro, and animated by Tezuka Productions.

It completely flipped the [[Jungle Emperor (manga)|Jungle Emperor]] story, setting its tale in a "neo-jungle" created to preserve animal life as much of the wild has been destroyed. Enter [[Roger Ranger (Kenichi)|Kenichi]], son of the C.E.O. of Eternal Earth, who created the preserve. He has the special ability to understand the language of animals. He meets [[Kimba (Leo)|Leo]], son of [[Caesar (Panja)|Panja]] and [[Snowene (Eliza)|Eliza]], who is criticized by all the animals as a coward. They tell him he isn't as brave as his father, but [[Kimba (Leo)|Leo]] is determined to prove them wrong. A sickness breaks out among the animals that appears contagious to humans, prompting the decision to destroy them all. Then its up to [[Roger Ranger (Kenichi)|Kenichi]] and Leo to save the animals.

== English Dub ==
In 2019, [[File:JEL 2009 Dubbed.PNG|left|thumb|106x106px|Retro Crush Thumbnail]][https://www.jpf.go.jp/ The Japan Foundation] distributed the film, along with other Japanese films, to a few international markets, including Zambia. Muvi TV is one of the broadcasters that has received the film. The dub was produced by [https://www.digitalsoundmagic.com/ Digital Sound Magic Recording Studios]. A clip of the dub was uploaded on Dec. 31st, 2019. The dubbed film is now available to watch in the US and Canada on the classic anime streaming service: [https://www.retrocrush.tv/search?s=Jungle%20Emperor%20Leo RetroCrush]

An earlier English dub of the film premiered on Cartoon Network in the Philippines on November 19, 2010.

== Italian Dub ==
In October 2021 on [https://www.thelostanime.com/ TheLostAnime] it was announced that the new italian dub will be produced by [http://www.sanverproduction.com/ Sanver Prodution], a production company based in Bulgaria and in Italy. The production of the dub titled "Kimba, i coraggiosi cambiano il futuro" was made from November to December 2021 at the [https://urbancavestudio.it/en/ Urban Cave Studio]. The dub was directed by Santo Verduci who also did the translation and dialogue adaptation. He also provided the voice of Kimba, and has composed and performed the song "Kimba, i coraggiosi cambiano il futuro" that was made for the movie. The trailer of the movie was posted on February 16, 2022 on  Sanver Prodution's Facebook page. 

Since February 25, 2022 the movie is available (for now) only on [http://www.chili.com/ Chili], an italian online video service that is available only in Italy as well as in the UK, Germany, Austria and Poland.
