Lalo (Rolo in the English Dub) is a young Water Buffalo (Wildebeest in the English Dub) part of Bob's herd that only appears in one episode in The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion.
History[]
He only makes one single appearance in the episode "Intruder". He at first plays with Kimba, but is warned that he is a Lion and that he should be more careful. However, he follows Kimba later on anyway, however gets shot and killed by Sr. Gillan (Giran) in the original Japanese version (however survives in the 1998 English Dub)
Trivia[]
- In English dub of The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion, Rolo and the other cape buffalo were erroneously referred to as Wildebeest, likely as the latter were more recognizable to western audiences.
- In the original Japanese version of the show, Rolo is killed by Giran, however the English dub changed this, so that Rolo survives, this was part of the many changes between the original and the dub to make the show more palatable to western audiences.
