Samson is a Cape Buffalo who appears in Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor).
Description[]
Samson is a fairly large Cape Buffalo, larger than most animals in the Jungle.
Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor)[]
He only makes two notable appearances in the anime:
In episode 4 "Great Caesar's Ghost" he shows up at Panja's jungle as a famous animal, and praises Kimba for being much like his father after seeing him fight an enormous snake prior. He brings three mules to him for a feast, but he finds that Kimba refuses to eat them, making him believe he’s a traitor to the Jungle like all domesticated animals. By the end of the episode though, he loses his horn during a fight with Humans, and owes Kimba an apology.
In Episode 6 "Jungle Thief" he appears when Kimba tells everybody not to eat the emergency food supply for a very short time, quarreling how they will starve if they do not eat it now. He is shut down by the other animals though at once, and he is not seen again in the episode.
Trivia[]
- Since Samson did not appear in the 1989 series, there is another buffalo named Bob that replaces his role.
- Despite losing one of his horns in Episode 4, he is seen with both horns again in episode 6.
