The Hunting Ground (Japanese Title: Konga’s Hunting Ground – Pt. 2 ( コンガ狩猟区・後篇)) is the 12th episode in the series: Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor).This episode is the second part of a two-part story arc, featuring the character, Tonga.
Synopsis[]
Tonga still searches for Kimba after the defeat of the imported hunters from the previous episode. She senda her pet lioness, Belladonna, to set up a trap for him. She lures him into a trap by telling him that she is his long-lost aunt and she can help him find Turtle (Tottles), who had gotten lost earlier. Both Kimba and Turtle manga to escape by Roger Ranger (Kenichi) finding them. Tonga pushes Belladonna off the cliff and realizes that she was loyal to a cruel human. Kimba ultimately forgives her for tricking him as she dies on a rock. As Tonga chases Kimba with her hunting party, snow begins to fall around everyone. The mysterious Mt. Moon reveals its supernatural benefactor: a mammoth.

1966 English Dub Edits[]
- Near the end of the episode, Belladonna whipped off the cliff by Tonga. She is told to rest by Kimba and she responds that she will, confirming that she is alive. This choice to keep her alive was mainly due to death-censorship for airing through syndication by NBC.
