The Silver Wolf (銀色の狼) is the 23rd episode in the second 1966 series: Leo the Lion (Onward, Leo).
Synopsis[]
A plane flying overhead crashes carrying Russian wolves and they escape into the jungle. The men onboard (Kutter and his henchman, Patch) also decide to investigate the area.
Lune (Runi) decides to run away from home due to his family problems. Leo decides to go out looking for him, In the midst, a stormy-flood sweeps through the jungle. Leo gets wounded and cannot return immediately back to the jungle. The two humans eventually spot him and try to capture him for profit.
The wolves spot Lune and Lukio and decide to take Lukio and Peck hostage if Lune doesn't give the wolves some rabbits to eat. Lune takes charge of the situation and decides to go fight the wolves in order to get his sister back, who is unknowingly followed by the rest of the jungle animals.
The two parties are split in the episode as they go their separate ways around the jungle area. They both meet again at the top of Mount Moon along with the rest of Leo's jungle and have a battle against all of the parties.

Trivia[]
- In the '84 English Dub, the mammoth mother is referred to as "Okuforo", her original Japanese name. But in the previous episode she was featured in (Episode 14), she was given a new name: "Pachydermus"
