Volcano Island ( 火山湖島 ) is the 38th episode of Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor).
Synopsis[]
Bucky (Tommy) decides to takes the class on a field trip to volcano island. The local fish cooperate with the entire class to make the lake nearby a fun place to play. Meanwhile, Boss Rhino charges at Kimba (Leo) for disturbing the peace on the island. He explains that his cousin and his wife need the island quiet so that she can deliver her calf in peace. However, the fishes and the jungle animals want to continue to have fun and say that the rhinos cannot claim the island as their own.
Suddenly, the activated volcano starts to erupt as the rhino couple have their baby. It comes a race against time to get the rhino calf and his parents back to safety.

Changes in the 1966 English NBC Dub[]
- About 10 seconds of fighting scenes between Boss Rhino and Kimba were cut. They were wide shots and continuous struggle between the two. Kimba manages to escape to a nearby cliff.

- The flamingos flying away from the erupting volcanoes on Volcano Island are reused from the Japanese opening of the 1965 series.
- This is the first episode to use live-action footage of smoke when the volcano on the island had stopped erupting.
- Dash is drawn with his original white snout colored blue while he's playing in the water.
- This episode was based on a manga chapter in the June 1966 issue of the Mighty Atom Club Magazine.
